DC servomotors

Commutator servomotors are magnet excited motors designed to operate over extended periods of time with a rated torque. They are used mainly for the propulsion of feed drives in numerical and non-numerical machine tools. These motors are equipped with a DC tachogenerator. This type of motor can be additionally fitted with a DC electromagnetic brake which is mounted under the motor’s cover.
